This Privacy Policy explains how SpotPix ("SpotPix", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the SpotPix mobile application (the "App").
SpotPix is designed as a private, local photo map. The App reads selected information from your device's Photos library so it can organize memories by date, place, route, and trip. We do not operate a user account system, advertising system, analytics SDK, or cloud sync service in the current version of the App.
1. Who We Are
SpotPix provides the App. For privacy questions or requests, you can contact us at:

2. Information Processed by the App
The App may process the following information on your device, depending on the permissions and features you choose to use:
- Photo and video metadata, including local asset identifiers, creation dates, media type, favorite status, and location metadata embedded in or associated with photos and videos.
- Photo and video previews, thumbnails, Live Photos, and videos that you choose to view inside the App.
- App-created organization data, including trips, route stops, place groupings, timeline groups, selected covers, recent searches, hidden places, manual location edits, and notes you write in the App.
- App preferences, including onboarding completion, selected photo scope, map style, timeline visibility, media filters, language preference, and notification preferences.
- Approximate or precise coordinates that come from your Photos metadata, place search results, or manual map selections inside the App.
- Support information you choose to send by email, such as your message, App version, iOS version, and device model.
The App stores its own organization data locally on your device, including in a local SQLite database and system preferences storage. Original photos and videos remain in your Photos library.
3. Photos Access
SpotPix asks for Photos access so it can build your memory map and timeline. You may choose the scope of Photos access through iOS, including limited library access where supported.
The App uses Photos access to:
- Read photo and video dates.
- Read location metadata when available.
- Display thumbnails, previews, Live Photos, and videos inside the App.
